FAQs

At what age do you begin accepting children at The Little Lamb?

We are licensed to take infants 6 weeks old. We offer full time care.

How can I find out what available openings you have on any given day?

A completed registration form and check in the amount of $50 guarantees you a place in our school. Due to constantly changing birthdays and the transient community we serve, we cannot always pinpoint the exact start date for a child over the phone, and sometimes must place you on a waiting list. Upon receipt of your form and check, we can usually determine the available openings within 24 hours.

What age does your curriculum start, and what do you use?

We use the A Beka curriculum, and it has a program beginning at age one! It is Bible based, and teaches reading using phonics. It is an excellent program to prepare your child for elementary school.

Do I need to make an appointment to come and visit?

No, you are welcome to visit us at any time, although certain times of the day showcase different parts of our program. For example, you might want to make an appointment if you wish to observe our teachers presenting our curriculum, or to view certain special events. Tell us your interests and we’ll make recommendations.

Is The Little Lamb part of a national chain or a specific church?

No, we are non-denominational and locally owned and operated. We welcome all children from both churched and un-churched backgrounds and will be happy to show you our lesson plans. Feel free to e-mail any questions or concerns directly to the owners (Chuck & Debbie Duke) at cduke@indy.rr.com.

How high is your staff turnover compared to other daycares?

We cannot speak for other schools; we are blessed with gifted teachers, some who have taught at The Little Lamb for over ten years! We are always proud to introduce our staff during school visits, so you can meet them personally.
